Protein alignment conservation visualizer

Upload multiple sequence alignments to identify and visualize conserved residues. Optionally add PDB structures to annotate secondary structure elements of a representative sequence, and compare conservation across protein families.

Conservation figure showing hemoglobin and myoglobin alignments
The three lines represent three groups of proteins (hemoglobin α, hemoglobin β and myoglobin). Above each line, residues conserved in at least 95% of sequences in the group are shown in one-letter amino acid codes. Below each line, the secondary structure of a representative PDB from the group is shown (1A3N chain A for hemoglobin α, 1A3N chain B for hemoglobin β, and 3RGK for myoglobin). Dotted lines connect positions conserved across all three groups.
